Bihar to Get New Amrit Bharat Train to Delhi in April

Patna : Bihar is set to welcome a new Amrit Bharat train in April, offering faster connectivity between Saharsa and New Delhi. The second Amrit Bharat train from the state is expected to begin operations on April 14, enhancing travel options for passengers in the region.

The train will feature 22 coaches, including 11 general, 8 sleeper, one pantry car, and two luggage-cum-LSRD coaches. Designed to improve the travel experience for ordinary passengers, it will offer modern amenities such as LED lighting, mobile charging points, and folding tables. With a maximum speed of 130 km/h, the train is expected to reduce travel time compared to existing services.

This new addition follows the success of the first Amrit Bharat train, which was introduced last year between Darbhanga and New Delhi. Saharsa will become the second station under East Central Railway to operate this high-speed service. The train will use a push-pull configuration, with engines positioned at both ends to enhance speed and stability.
