Patna : Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices in Patna remain unchanged at Rs84.54 per kg, continuing a stable trend that has persisted for the past 10 months. The current rate, which also marks the highest price recorded in the city during this period, reflects the resilience of local fuel pricing despite fluctuations in the global energy market.
The consistency in CNG prices comes amid a sharp decline in international crude oil rates. Brent crude, a global benchmark, recently dropped to $64.34 per barrel due to weakening global demand, recessionary concerns, and ongoing trade tensions. These factors have contributed to easing energy prices in several countries, including India.
Experts attribute the domestic market’s stability to the Reserve Bank of India’s accommodative policy stance, which includes expectations of interest rate cuts and supportive financial conditions. This has helped maintain positive market sentiment and kept inflation under check.
Public and private transport operators in Patna have welcomed the steady CNG prices, which help manage operational costs effectively. With no major revision anticipated in the immediate future, consumers and commercial users can expect continued relief at the pumps, at least in the short term.
