Patna: The fourth edition of the three-day Bihar Poultry and Aqua Expo 2026 opened at Gyan Bhawan near Gandhi Maidan, bringing together companies, farmers, livestock rearers, fish farmers, industry representatives and technical experts.
Organised by Krishika and Writers & Creators, the expo features 80 companies from across India, with their products and services displayed across 130 stalls.
Officials Highlight Employment Potential
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said the poultry and aquaculture sectors have significant potential for employment and self-employment.
He described the expo as a useful platform for farmers, poultry rearers and fish farmers to learn about modern technology, machinery, improved breeds, scientific management practices and changing market requirements.
Chaudhary said participation by companies and experts from different parts of the country could help strengthen technical and commercial partnerships between Bihar and other states.
Focus On Farmers And Rural Incomes
Minister of Higher Education and Law Sanjay Kumar Tiger said the development of poultry and aquaculture is important for Bihar as an agriculture-based state.
He said the sectors can contribute to higher farm incomes while creating employment opportunities for young people. He also expressed hope that the expo would benefit farmers, livestock rearers, fish farmers and young entrepreneurs across the state.
Connecting Technology With Businesses
Expo organiser Rakesh Kashyap said the event aims to bring farmers, livestock rearers, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, scientists, technical experts and policymakers onto a common platform.
He said the objective is to improve access to modern technology and innovative practices, with the aim of increasing production, reducing costs and improving incomes.
Kashyap said interactions with companies and experts from across India could create opportunities for investment, employment and partnerships in Bihar’s poultry and fisheries sectors.
The expo is also intended to introduce farmers and young entrepreneurs to modern equipment, quality products and emerging business opportunities, while strengthening links between technology providers and the state’s rural economy.
