Gaya/Patna: The intellectual spirit of Bihar’s school students was on full display on Tuesday as Gaya played host to the Magadh Division Finals of the Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025 — the state’s premier inter-school quiz championship.

Twelve top-performing teams from across the five districts of Magadh division — Gaya, Nawada, Aurangabad, Jehanabad and Arwal — gathered for an intense contest of knowledge and reflexes. The event kicked off with a written preliminary round, whittling the field down to the top six teams who progressed to the on-stage final.

After a gripping series of quiz rounds, it was Priyansha and Vaishnav Seth of DAV Public School, Cantt Area, Gaya, who clinched the top spot, impressing judges and audience alike with their sharp thinking and team synergy. Arpan Kumar and Mohit Kumar of Senior Secondary School, Beri, Aurangabad, secured second place, while Manish Kumar and Saloni Kumari of U.M.V. Punthar, Narhat, Nawada, finished third.

These three teams will go on to represent the Magadh Division at the Grand Finale of the Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025, set to take place on Thursday at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna.

Renowned quizmaster Aniket Mishra conducted the event, earning plaudits for his energetic hosting and thought-provoking questions that kept both participants and spectators engaged.

The event was attended by key dignitaries including Naveen Kumar, DDC, Gaya; Rahul Kumar, DSO; Raj Narayan Singh, Chief Coordinator, MKG; Arya Gautam, Senior Assistant Director, BIPARD; Abhuyodaya, Assistant Director, BIPARD; Deepa Kaushik, Assistant Director, BIPARD; and Md Asgar Alam Khan, DPO, Gaya. Officials praised the quiz series for promoting academic excellence and nurturing a culture of healthy competition in Bihar’s schools.

Attention now turns to Patna, where the final divisional round will be held on Wednesday at SK Memorial Hall, ahead of the Grand Finale.
