Patna: Patna is set to witness a thrilling aerial display as the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team gears up for a spectacular show over the Ganga river on April 22 and 23. The air show will take place between 10am and 11.15am, with the display visible from an open ground north of JP Ganga Path, directly opposite Sabhyata Dwar.

In anticipation of large crowds and to ensure public safety, the Patna district administration has announced significant traffic restrictions and diversions between 6am and 12 noon on both days. Movement of vehicles will be completely restricted on JP Ganga Path from LCT Ghat to Krishna Ghat, while several adjoining routes will see diversions.

Key Traffic Diversions:

  • Vehicles from Gaighat to Digha Golambar will be diverted via Ashok Rajpath through Krishna Ghat underpass.
  • Those travelling from Digha Golambar to Gaighat can use LCT Ghat underpass and continue via Ashok Rajpath.
  • JP Ganga Path will be closed to all general traffic from Children’s Park to the front of the Commissioner’s Office.
  • Commercial vehicles coming from Danapur via Ashok Rajpath will be allowed only up to Police Line Tiraha.
  • LCT Ghat approach road will operate one-way from north to south; movement from south to north will remain suspended.

Parking Arrangements:

For vehicles coming via JP Ganga Path from Digha:

  • LCT Ghat parking via underpass.
  • Vehicles can take a U-turn at LCT Ghat and park in single lane formation on the southern flank.

For large and small vehicles:

  • Parking zones at JP Setu Ghat.
  • Vehicles from Danapur via Ashok Rajpath can park at Gate Nos. 93, 88, 83 Ghat, Pahalwan Ghat, and Bans Ghat.

For vehicles from Gaighat:

  • U-turn at Krishna Ghat, followed by parking in a single lane on the northern flank.
  • Two-wheelers may park on the northern flank of JP Setu Ganga Path between Krishna Ghat and PMCH underpass.

For vehicles coming via Ashok Rajpath towards Gaighat:

  • Parking allowed at Collectorate Ghat, Mahendru Ghat, Kali Ghat, Kadam Ghat, and Patna College Ghat.
  • Additional spaces at Patna College Ground and Patna Science College Ground.

Visitors arriving from Gandhi Maidan, Bailey Road, and Beerchand Patel Path can park inside Gandhi Maidan through Gate Nos. 1, 4, 5, 6, and 10.

With high excitement around the event, authorities have urged the public to adhere to traffic instructions and plan their travel in advance to avoid inconvenience.
