Patna: A special cancer awareness and screening programme was organised at the Patna High Court premises on Saturday by Dr Prabhat Ranjan Diagnostic and Research Centre, drawing participation from several judges, judicial officers and court staff.

The programme was inaugurated by Acting Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar, who called for such initiatives to be organised on a larger scale in the future. “Such programmes should be organised on a larger scale, and in future, more such events will be held at the Patna High Court,” he said.

Hon’ble Justice Rajiv Ranjan Prasad stressed the importance of early cancer detection and praised the awareness efforts led by Dr Prabhat Ranjan. Former Indian Medical Association (IMA) president Dr Sahajanand Prasad Singh also commended Dr Ranjan’s grassroots work, saying it would significantly benefit Bihar in the coming years.

Dr Prabhat Ranjan, speaking at the event, highlighted his mission to save lives through early cancer identification in rural areas, with the active support of Dr Rupam Ranjan.

Sushil Kumar, Registrar (Establishment) of Patna High Court, made a special contribution in organising the programme.

A cancer screening camp was held alongside the awareness session, where court staff and officers participated enthusiastically. The event concluded successfully, with attendees describing it as a highly commendable initiative.
