
Greater Noida/Patna: A horrifying case of kidnapping, gangrape, and murder has emerged from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where two friends were lured under the false pretense of a job opportunity. One of the victims, originally from Chhapra, Bihar, was brutally murdered after protesting the gangrape of her friend. The survivor, a resident of Pratapgarh district, managed to escape and alert the police, leading to the arrest of three suspects following an encounter.
The victims, who worked as welcome girls at events, were contacted on May 6 by an acquaintance, identified as Amit, who offered them employment. Trusting him, the survivor and her friend from Chhapra met Amit near Surajpur Court Number- 3 in the evening. Amit, accompanied by his friend Sandeep, then drove them away in a car. Later, they picked up another accomplice.
According to the report filed at Khurja Nagar Kotwali, the three accused took the survivor to a secluded location where she was gangraped inside the moving vehicle. When her friend from Chhapra protested this heinous act, she was thrown out of the moving car in Meerut and subsequently run over by another vehicle late on the night of May 9, resulting in her death. Her identity has since been confirmed.
The gangrape survivor bravely saved her life by jumping out of the accused’s car in Khurja and immediately contacted the police. Acting swiftly on her complaint, the Khurja police registered a case under sections of kidnapping, murder, and gangrape.
Following the survivor’s account and initial investigation, the police launched a search for the accused. All three suspects, including Amit and Sandeep, were apprehended following a police encounter. They are currently in custody and being interrogated in connection with the brutal crime.
“A case was registered in Khurja police station under the sections of kidnapping, murder and gangrape. The three accused have been arrested following an encounter and are being questioned,” confirmed a police official.
