Rajgir/ Patna: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was found dead in a suspected case of suicide at his residence in the Pachrukhiya Kuan Tillaha locality under Rajgir police station area of Nalanda district. The body of the deceased was discovered in suspicious circumstances, prompting an immediate investigation by the local police.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Rajgir police swiftly reached the location and transported the body to Biharsharif for a postmortem examination. Authorities have initiated a probe to determine the exact cause of death.
The deceased has been identified as Amarjeet Kumar (30). While posted at the CRPF camp in Rajgir, he was currently on leave. According to family members, although his ancestral home was in Majra village, Amarjeet had been residing in a house in Pachrukhiya Kuan Tillaha, Rajgir. He was the youngest among four brothers.
Tragically, Amarjeet’s death occurred shortly after he returned home late at night from attending a wedding ceremony on his in-laws’ side, having been married for only ten months near Dhanima Pahad village. When Amarjeet failed to emerge from his room until 10 am the following morning, concerned family members broke down the door and discovered his lifeless body.
“When he did not open even after banging the gate in the morning, we looked through the window. He had committed suicide,” stated Aditya Kumar, the deceased’s brother. “He was living here for 4-5 months. We don’t know why he took such a step. He got married 10 months ago, there is no child yet.”
Rajgir Station House Officer (SHO) Raman Kumar stated that initial investigations suggest the CRPF jawan may have taken his own life due to domestic discord. “On the basis of the investigation so far, it seems that the CRPF jawan has committed suicide due to domestic discord. However, the reason for the incident has not been clear yet. Further action will be taken after receiving the post-mortem report and the application by the victim’s family. At present, the body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem,” said SHO Raman Kumar.
The police are awaiting the postmortem report and any formal complaint from the family to proceed further with their investigation into this unfortunate incident.
