Tejashwi Yadav Becomes Father Again, Shares First Photo with Newborn Son

Tejashwi Yadav son

Patna: Leader of Opposition and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has welcomed a new member into his family. On Tuesday, he became a father for the second time as his wife, Rajshree Yadav, gave birth to a baby boy in a Kolkata hospital. Tejashwi took to social media to share the joyful news along with a photo holding his newborn son.

“Good Morning! The wait is finally over! So grateful, blessed and pleased to announce the arrival of our little boy. Jai Hanuman!,” Tejashwi captioned the photo, expressing gratitude and joy.

The baby was born at a private hospital in Kolkata where Rajshree has been admitted for the last few days. On May 26, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi travelled to Kolkata to be with their daughter-in-law during this special time.

The news was met with celebratory messages from family members and supporters. Tejashwi’s sister, Rohini Acharya, fondly referred to the newborn as “Junior Tutu” and posted, “Lots of love to Junior Tutu,” on social media, using the family’s nickname for Tejashwi.

Second Child for Tejashwi and Rajshree

This is the couple’s second child. Their firstborn, a daughter named Katyayani, was born on March 27, 2023. At that time, Tejashwi was serving as the Deputy Chief Minister in the Nitish Kumar-led government. The birth came amid a politically turbulent phase for the Yadav family, with ongoing investigations by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Land-for-Jobs case.

A Love Story That Began in School

Tejashwi and Rajshree share a long-standing relationship that dates back to their school days. The couple were classmates at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, and developed a strong friendship that blossomed into love around 2014.

They tied the knot on December 9, 2021, at a private ceremony held at the Sainik Farms residence of Tejashwi’s sister, Misa Bharti, in Delhi. The intimate event was attended by close family members, including Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tej Pratap Yadav, and prominent political figures like Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav.

However, the journey to marriage wasn’t without hurdles. According to sources close to the family, Tejashwi had to spend considerable time convincing his parents, especially Lalu Yadav, to accept the relationship. It is believed that due to this hesitation, many close associates were not invited to the wedding. Rajshree, who is originally from Haryana, is the daughter of a Chandigarh-based businessman.

With the arrival of their son, Tejashwi and Rajshree’s family has now grown to four, drawing warm wishes and blessings from supporters and political circles across the country.
