
Bhagalpur: The Bhagalpur chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) conducted a postgraduate lecture on surgical advancements at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College on June 11.
Addressing a hall of postgraduate students, Dr Mrityunjay Kumar, former head of the Department of Surgery, discussed emerging trends and innovations in modern surgical practices. He emphasised the need for future surgeons to stay informed about evolving medical technologies and techniques.
Principal in-charge of the college and ASI Bhagalpur president Dr CM Sinha stated that the lecture aimed to equip PG students with insights into the shifting landscape of surgical procedures, thereby enhancing their clinical competence.
Several senior faculty members including Dr BK Jaiswal, Dr Abhishek Kumar, and Dr Ashok Rai were also present at the event. The session was marked by interactive discussions and practical insights, aimed at bridging the gap between traditional methods and modern surgical approaches.
