International Yoga Day: Patna’s SSB Troops Lead Sunrise Salute to Health and Harmony
The SSB Frontier Headquarters in Patna marked International Yoga Day 2025 with a disciplined sunrise session of Surya Namaskar, yogasanas, and meditation. Officers, jawans, and civilians gathered under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” reinforcing yoga’s role in physical strength and mental resilience.

Patna: A serene dawn in Patna saw the disciplined stretches and synchronised breathing of officers, soldiers, and civilians as the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) marked International Yoga Day 2025 with a grand public session at its Frontier Headquarters.
Organised jointly by the Frontier HQ and the 40th Battalion, the event aligned with this year’s theme – “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” and began at 6:30am with a collective Surya Namaskar at Karpoori Thakur Sadan. Trained instructors guided participants through a series of yogasanas, pranayama, and meditation practices.
Deputy Inspector General B.K. Pal called yoga “a source of discipline, calm, and energy” especially vital, he added, for personnel tasked with the rigours of border duty.
The programme concluded with live demonstrations by jawans, drawing attention not just for their precision but for the quiet resolve they embodied. Participants, including local families and civilians were urged to take yoga beyond the event and into everyday life.
