Patna Women's College Celebrating International Yoga Day
Patna: Patna Women’s College observed the 11th International Yoga Day with a guided yoga session designed to promote mental, physical and emotional well-being among students.
Held in collaboration with the college’s Daksh and Housla clubs, the session was led by Dr Manjula Sushila and supported by the Student Council. The initiative provided a rare pause in the busy academic schedule, offering participants a space to reset and reconnect.
Students engaged in a series of traditional asanas and breathing exercises including Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Trikonasana, Padmasana, and Shavasana, alongside pranayama techniques such as Anulom Vilom. Organisers said the practices aimed to reduce stress, enhance focus, and foster emotional balance.
“Yoga is not just physical exercise, but a way to bring balance into everyday life,” Dr Sushila said. “Sessions like this allow students to centre themselves amid their many responsibilities.”
The college said the event reaffirmed the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines as a sustainable path to holistic health.
