Patna: Patna Women’s College organised an inauguration ceremony on Saturday to launch its new academic programmes for 2025. These include M.A. in History, M.A. in Economics, and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. The event was held in Carmel Hall with Shri Ajay Yadav, Secretary of Education and Excise and Registration Department, Government of Bihar, as the chief guest.
The ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Ajay Yadav, Principal Dr Sister M Rashmi, and heads of the three departments along with student representatives. The principal honoured the chief guest with a plant sapling and a memento. She thanked all teachers for their hard work in starting these new courses and wished students the best for their future studies.
Heads of the History, Economics, and Clinical Nutrition departments spoke to students about how these courses will help them build strong careers. Student representatives also shared their feelings about joining these courses and said they are excited to learn new things at the college.
Chief guest Shri Ajay Yadav appreciated the college for giving students both good education and cultural opportunities. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Mr Siddhant Parashar from Clinical Nutrition. The programme was hosted by Ms Kamaljeet Kaur from the Economics department.
