Gaya: Two people were killed and two others injured in separate lightning incidents across Bihar, as heavy rain lashed parts of the state on Monday. In Gaya district, 40-year-old Dinesh Yadav died after being struck by lightning near Bhaduki village in the Guraru block. A resident of Daulata village, Yadav was returning from Rafiganj in neighbouring Aurangabad when the incident occurred. His sudden death has left the family in shock.
Elsewhere in the same block, a 14-year-old boy, Rohit Kumar, was fatally struck while grazing cattle in Pandey Pokhar village. Kumar, the son of Ramesh Manjhi, died on the spot.
Meanwhile, in the Amas block, lightning damaged the upper portion of a local temple. A 12-year-old girl, Suhana Parveen, and a three-year-old child, Jaimala Devi, who were in the vicinity of the temple, sustained injuries in the strike and are receiving medical care.
