Araria: A 22-year-old boy named Vikas Kumar died by suicide in Araria, Bihar. He left a note saying, “I can’t stay away from you. I try to forget you, but if I can’t, I will commit suicide.” Vikas lived with his sister in a rented house near Durga Sthan Kali Mandir.
On Monday morning, the landlord went to his room for some work but found the door locked from inside. Even after calling him many times, there was no response. People then broke open the door and found Vikas hanging from the fan. His sister was not at home as she had gone away after her exams finished.
His father, Laxman Vishwas, said that Vikas had called him on Sunday to say his exams were over and he needed Rs 2,500 to fill the ITI form. The police reached the spot and sent his body to Katihar Sadar Hospital for postmortem. They also found his suicide note mentioning the girl he loved.
Police station in-charge Suman Singh said, “We are investigating the matter. The suicide note has been sent for forensic testing and we are waiting for the postmortem report.”
