Patna: Bapu Tower in Patna has become a major attraction for people who want to know more about Mahatma Gandhi. Built with the efforts of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, this tower is now a pride of Bihar. In just the past six months, more than 52,000 people have come to visit it. The data from June 2025 alone shows that 14,610 tourists visited Bapu Tower that month.
This six-storey tower shows the life of Mahatma Gandhi through modern 3-D displays and audio-visual scenes. Five floors of the tower are fully dedicated to his life, his struggles, and his important work for the country. Visitors can see scenes like his Champaran Satyagraha, his experience of being thrown out of a train in South Africa, and his role in India’s freedom movement. Every corner of this tower tells something new about Bapu.
People are finding the architecture and design of Bapu Tower very attractive. The journey from ‘Mohan to Mahatma’ is shown in a way that touches people’s hearts. The 3-D figures make his life look real, and visitors say it feels like they are travelling through history along with him.
The best part is that children and the younger generation, who have only read about Gandhi in books, are getting to know him closely through these interactive displays and movies. People of all age groups are visiting – from small children to elderly people. Bapu Tower is not only teaching them about Gandhi but also inspiring them to follow his path of truth and non-violence.
