Patna: A new name has come up in the murder case of Chandan Mishra in Patna. According to police sources, a ‘white collar’ man linked to a land dispute might be involved in the killing. This person is said to have strong connections and could be the missing link in the case.

The land in question is about 14 kattha near the busy Golambhar area of Patna. It is estimated to be worth over Rs 1.5 crore. Police say that after coming out on parole, Chandan Mishra often visited the Industrial Police Station and started taking a deep interest in this land. He tried everything to get control of it but his efforts may have angered others who were eyeing the same land.

Police believe that this dispute over the land led to his murder. Chandan Mishra was shot dead at Paras Hospital in Patna. Sources say that Balambat Singh from Buxar district is also linked to this land and his name has come up in the investigation. Police officials say they are looking into every detail and will soon reveal the full truth behind the murder.

Investigations have also found that the criminals who killed Chandan Mishra had consumed drugs a night before. The next morning, they reached Paras Hospital. As soon as their leader Tausif gave a signal, his men entered and carried out the murder. Another name that has come up is gangster Sheru, who is close to a gold robber gang. He became friends with a gold robber while in Beur jail and later helped him many times through his henchmen.
