Patna: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) has become the first state government management institution in Bihar to be accepted into the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International. AACSB is the world’s largest global business education network, representing a significant milestone for CIMP and the state.
The official membership was celebrated at a ceremony on the CIMP campus, where Dr. Prathap Das, AACSB’s Regional Head for South Asia, formally presented the membership certificate, pin, and welcome kit to CIMP Director Dr. Rana Singh.

“This is a proud milestone for both CIMP and the state of Bihar,” said Dr. Singh. “By becoming an AACSB member, CIMP has taken a bold step toward aligning with globally benchmarked standards of excellence in management education. This membership signifies our intent to continuously evolve and lead with quality.”
CIMP, which already holds NBA accreditation, will now be part of a global network of over 1,900 business schools in more than 100 countries and territories. Prof. Rajashree Pillai, who led the membership process, emphasized that this is not the end, but the beginning of a “transformational journey” to further strengthen the institute’s academic and research ecosystem.

Dr. Prathap Das welcomed CIMP into the network, applauding its commitment to innovation and quality. He stated that CIMP’s membership demonstrates its strong commitment to “future-readiness in business education.”
