Patna: Bihar on Saturday launched a special Revenue Maha Abhiyan to clean up land and jamabandi records across the state, with officer teams set to visit households, verify documents, and process corrections through September 20. The campaign aims to streamline mutations, partitions, and succession transfers while digitizing missing records and delivering printed jamabandi copies and application forms door-to-door.
District- and block-level camps will be set up to handle on-the-spot applications and primary data entry. Each camp will be equipped with 10 tables, 10 special survey Amins, laptops, and internet dongles to ensure quick processing. Officials said mutation and partition requests will be filed on the Mutation Plus portal, while corrections will be logged on the Parimarjan Plus portal.
Under the drive, errors in online jamabandi will be rectified, and omitted entries will be digitized. Teams will also accept inheritance-related and joint-property mutation applications, while providing households with printed jamabandi copies and relevant forms during field visits.
Residents have been advised to keep key documents ready to avoid delays. Essential papers include:
•Death certificate (if the land stands in the name of ancestors)
•Verified lineage/ancestry details (vanshavali)
•Khata, khesra, and plot area (rakba) information
Verification and document submission facilities will be available at the camps. The state has also announced that officers, employees, and public representatives delivering outstanding work during the drive will be honored at circle, district, and state levels.
Officials emphasized that the initiative is designed to reduce public footfall at offices by bringing verification and correction services to every locality, ensuring faster, more transparent resolution of land record issues.
