Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects for Bihar on September 2 through a virtual ceremony. According to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the projects include initiatives related to rail and road infrastructure.PM Modi will also deliver an online address on the occasion.
The announcement comes ahead of his scheduled visit to Purnia on September 15, where he will inaugurate the district’s new airport and address a public meeting. Once operational, Purnia will become Bihar’s fourth commercial airport after Patna, Darbhanga and Gayaji. Construction work is in its final stages, with the deadline set for August 30. Approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation is expected in early September.
Samrat also criticised the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal over remarks made against PM Modi during the recent Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga, calling them “an incident that shames democracy”. He said that the people of Bihar would give a decisive response in the upcoming assembly elections.
