Begusarai: A 12-year-old boy was found murdered in Begusarai district of Bihar after being kidnapped and subjected to extreme brutality.
The child, identified as Mankhush Kumar, was reported missing on Thursday evening after he returned from coaching classes and went to play near a temple in Kharhat village, Sahebpur Kamal. When he did not return, his family began searching for him and alerted the police on Friday morning.
Later that day, villagers discovered his body in a field around 200 metres from the Kali temple. The boy’s throat had been slit with a sharp weapon, and his genitals had been severed. His torso also bore deep cuts.
Family members said they had tried to trace him using CCTV cameras in nearby areas, but no leads were found. The discovery was eventually made by cattle herders who had gone to cut fodder.
Police have begun an investigation and said they are examining possible motives and suspects. Security has been tightened in the area, and officers have assured the family that those responsible will be brought to justice.
