Patna: The first phase of the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ led by Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Leader of the Opposition and former Deputy CM, concluded on Saturday. Embarking on the second phase of this momentous journey on Sunday, Yadav’s itinerary is set to span until February 28, weaving through various districts of Bihar.
Covering approximately 1100 kilometers in the first leg, Tejashwi traversed the state, addressing 16 substantial public gatherings. Prominent among his agenda is the rallying call for the ‘Jan Vishwas Rally’ slated for March 3 at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, organized by the Grand Alliance, which Tejashwi fervently invites the populace to attend during his public addresses.
The second phase, commencing from Patna on February 25, will feature a notable shift with a focus on road shows rather than large-scale public meetings.
On February 25, Tejashwi’s Yatra will pause for the night in Supaul, having traversed through Hajipur, Mahua, Kalyanpur, Laheriasarai, Madhubani, and Jhanjharpur. The following day, February 26, a rest stop is planned in Banka, covering ground through Triveniganj, Araria, Jokihat, Kishanganj, Navgachia, and Bhagalpur. Progressing further on February 27, the route will lead to Madhepura, navigating through Banka, Amarpur, Asarganj, Jamui, Lakhisarai, Munger, Khagaria, Maheshkhunt, and Sonbarsa. Finally, on February 28, the return journey to Patna will commence via Madhepura, Saharsa, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Sonbarsa, Mansi, Sahebpur Kamal, Ballia, Begusarai, Barauni, Mokama, Badh, Bakhtiyarpur, and Fatuha.
Spanning approximately 1400 kilometers, this phase emphasizes direct engagement with the populace, marking a significant departure from traditional political methodologies.
Chittaranjan Gagan, RJD state spokesperson, remarked on the historical significance of Tejashwi’s endeavor, noting it as a record-breaking feat in Bihar’s political narrative. With Tejashwi slated to cover a staggering 2500 kilometers over nine days, the initiative aims to reach remote corners, exemplifying a concerted effort to connect with citizens across Bihar’s diverse landscape.
The meticulous planning and execution of the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ have garnered relentless attention from the party’s hierarchy, including State President Jagdanand Singh and other officials, who remain steadfast in their commitment to making both the yatra and the forthcoming ‘Jan Vishwas Rally’ a monumental success.
