NDA Leaders Thank Railway Minister for Train Stoppages
Meanwhile, in Rohtas, NDA leaders expressed gratitude to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw after long-standing demands for train stoppages at local stations were fulfilled.
The Godda–Delhi Humsafar Express will now stop at Dehri on Son under the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Railway Division, while the Ranchi–Varanasi Intercity Express will halt at Ankorha and Barki Salaiya stations on the Sonnagar–Barwadih section. The Palamu Express has also been given a stoppage at Ankorha.
Rajya Sabha MP and RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha, former MP Gopal Narayan Singh, and BJP state minister Trivikram Narayan Singh thanked the Railway Minister for restoring services suspended during the Covid-19 period.
Leaders pointed out that Ankorha and Barki Salaiya stations are strategically significant due to their proximity to the NTPC power plant, and the absence of stoppages had caused major inconvenience for local residents.
Kushwaha also hinted that more trains could get stoppages in the coming months following discussions with the Railway Ministry.
