Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formally kicked off its Bihar assembly election campaign Today with the launch of its “Chalo Jeete Hain” chariot from Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Chariots were simultaneously dispatched to all assembly constituencies across the state, marking the start of an extensive voter outreach programme.
The event saw the presence of several senior BJP leaders, including Bihar state president Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde, Health Minister Mangal Pandey, and Minister Nitin Nabin.

As part of the campaign, short films depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s childhood, his struggles with poverty, and development initiatives under his leadership will be screened at 50,000 locations across Bihar. Jaiswal said the films aim to create an emotional connection with the electorate.
The “Chalo Jeete Hain” Rath Yatra seeks to establish a direct dialogue with the public and convey the BJP’s achievements and development initiatives at both the state and central levels to every household. Through the chariots, the party intends to communicate its policies and showcase its governance record in each assembly constituency.
In addition, the BJP will observe a “Seva Pakhwada” from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with Prime Minister Modi’s birthday. Party workers will organise a range of activities including cleanliness drives, health camps, blood donation programmes, tree plantations, and other public service initiatives. Leaders say the initiative will further reinforce the party’s image as one committed to serving the people.
