Patna: The Annual General Meeting of the Bank of India Retired Officers’ Organization, Bihar State Unit, was held today at a private hotel on Fraser Road, Patna. The meeting was chaired by the organization’s president, Harinarayan Agarwal, and saw enthusiastic participation from retired officers across the state. The event provided a platform for members to share their concerns, discuss welfare initiatives and decide on the future course of action.
General Secretary Umesh Tiwari opened the meeting by welcoming the participants and outlining the activities carried out by the organization over the past year. He presented a detailed action plan for the upcoming year, stressing that the organization would continue to fight for its major demands. These include the updation of pensions for retired employees, subsidies on group insurance premiums, removal of GST on essential services affecting retirees, and official inclusion of their organizations in pension negotiations.
The All-India General Secretary of the organization, Harvinder Singh, joined the meeting virtually through a video message. He congratulated the Bihar State Unit on its efforts and highlighted the achievements of the Central Executive Committee. He also offered guidance for the coming year, encouraging members to stay united and determined in their efforts to secure better rights and benefits for retired officers.
Vice Chairman Amarendra Kumar, who previously served as Deputy General Manager of Bank of India, spoke about the welfare schemes available for retired employees. He urged everyone to actively participate and take full advantage of these schemes. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Amarendra Pandey, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, leaving members motivated and committed to their cause.
