Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation has begun a special 38-day cleanliness campaign to keep the city clean and well-maintained during the festival season. The campaign started on September 22, 2025, and will continue until October 30, 2025. City Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar held a briefing with municipal staff to explain the plan and ensure that all personnel are ready for the intensive cleaning work ahead.
As part of the campaign, ten additional sanitation workers have been deployed in each of the city’s 75 wards. These staff members will focus on night cleaning, while city managers, inspectors, and sanitation supervisors will monitor the work in the morning to make sure it has been done properly. Each ward has been provided with ₹1 lakh to support the campaign and help maintain cleanliness during this busy period.
The Municipal Commissioner stressed that strict action will be taken against any staff member who is negligent or leaves areas unclean. The campaign reflects the city’s continued commitment to improving sanitation and ensuring a hygienic environment for residents and visitors. The public can also report any cleanliness issues by calling the helpline number 155304, allowing citizens to participate in keeping the city tidy.
Several senior municipal officers attended the briefing, including Additional Municipal Commissioners Ashish Kumar and Rajan Sinha, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ramashish Tiwari, and executive officers from all zones. Officials highlighted the importance of discipline, vigilance, and teamwork during the campaign. With these efforts, Patna aims to remain clean and attractive throughout the festive season, giving residents and tourists a safe and pleasant environment.
