Patna: With the Bihar Assembly elections drawing closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its election campaign committee, signalling the start of intensified political activity in the state.
The committee, comprising 45 party leaders, was officially announced on Sunday via the BJP’s X (formerly Twitter) handle. Among those named are prominent figures such as Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and Union Minister Giriraj Singh.
In its statement, the party said: “The campaign committee for the Bihar Assembly elections–2025 is hereby announced.” The committee will play a central role in strategising and coordinating the party’s electoral efforts across the state.

Other notable members include former chief ministers’ aides, union ministers, and veteran legislators such as Vijay Kumar Sinha, Radha Mohan Singh, Nityanand Rai, Mangal Pandey, Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Ashwini Kumar Choubey. The full list also features leaders representing a mix of communities and regions, reflecting the party’s efforts to broaden its appeal across Bihar.
The announcement marks the BJP’s first major step in consolidating its campaign machinery ahead of what is expected to be a fiercely contested assembly election.
