Patna: Senior officials from Bihar’s key law enforcement and intelligence agencies met at the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Frontier Headquarters in Patna on Tuesday to bolster inter-agency coordination ahead of the state assembly elections.
The meeting, chaired by SSB Inspector General Nishit Kumar Ujjwal, IPS, focused on improving real-time intelligence sharing and the effectiveness of joint operations in border areas. Attendees included senior representatives from the Bihar Police, Special Task Force, Customs Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Enforcement Directorate, Financial Intelligence Unit, Income Tax Department, Railways, Excise and Prohibition Departments, and the SSB.
Officials agreed unanimously to strengthen cooperation to ensure the elections are conducted fairly, peacefully, and impartially. The meeting concluded with a commitment from all agencies to maintain security, control crime, and support the smooth running of electoral processes in sensitive border regions.
