New Delhi: The Digital India Summit 2025, jointly organised by the Web Journalists’ Association of India (WJAI) and Prime Time Research Media Pvt Ltd, will be held on Saturday, October 11, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Dwarka Sector 13, starting at 6 p.m.

The summit will explore the evolving landscape of journalism in the digital age, focusing on how technology continues to reshape newsrooms, ethics, and public discourse. The event is expected to draw senior journalists, policymakers, and media executives from across the country.

Prominent guests include former Union Minister Ashwini Choubey, Mahamandaleshwar Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, MP Manoj Tiwari, MP Atul Garg, and former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, who will attend as chief guests.

A dialogue on the intersection of technology and democracy

According to Pankaj Prasoon, President of WJAI’s Delhi NCR Chapter, the summit will provide a “platform for meaningful dialogue on the relationship between media, technology, and democracy.” He added that the National Executive Committee of WJAI will also convene during the event to discuss internal policy decisions and the future direction of digital journalism.

“Prominent journalists from every corner of the country will participate in this event,” Prasoon said. “The summit aims to address both the potential and pitfalls of digital media and strengthen journalistic integrity in the era of rapid technological change.”

Anand Kaushal, WJAI’s National President, and other senior national officials are expected to attend the executive meeting.

Sessions on digital transformation and media ethics

The organisers said that a series of panel discussions will examine issues such as digital transformation in media, ethics in new media, and the changing role of public relations.

WJAI Delhi State Vice President Harsh Jha said the summit is designed to “provide a common platform for journalists to discuss challenges and opportunities in the digital landscape.”

“This event will encourage new thinking and inspire a new media vision for a new India,” he said.

Prime Time Research Media Pvt Ltd added that the summit would also address the pressing challenges faced by digital journalists, including misinformation, algorithmic bias, and the need for sustainable revenue models.
