Patna: As Bihar’s election season gathers momentum, Danapur turned into a political hotspot on Thursday when Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a massive rally in support of BJP candidate and former Union Minister Ram Kripal Prasad Yadav. The gathering coincided with Yadav’s nomination filing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.
Welcomed on stage with a ceremonial angavastram, Yogi Adityanath began his address amid chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” The Chief Minister praised Bihar as the land of knowledge and enlightenment — “the soil of Aryabhatta, Ashoka, Buddha and Chanakya.”
Emphasising cultural and emotional unity between the two states, Adityanath declared, “The relationship between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar is eternal — as sacred and inseparable as that of Lord Ram and Goddess Janaki.” His remarks drew thunderous applause from the crowd.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress of attempting to “disrupt Bihar’s growth story” through divisive politics. Recalling the years from 1990 to 2005, he said, “That was the era of jungle raj and dynasty rule. Bihar, once a seat of learning, was dragged into crime and chaos. It took two decades of NDA governance to restore dignity and progress.”
Adityanath further alleged that opposition parties were encouraging electoral malpractice. “The RJD and Congress want to legitimise fake voting and empower infiltrators at the cost of Bihar’s poor and Dalits,” he said. “Every citizen must vote with proper identification to protect democracy.”
