Patna: Renowned teacher and social reformer Khan Sir has once again made headlines, this time not for his viral lectures but for his ambitious healthcare initiative. The construction of his much-anticipated hospital in Patna is nearing completion, with both the dialysis centre and operation theatre fully ready for launch.
Khan Sir, known for his distinctive teaching style and commitment to public welfare, personally inspected the newly built hospital this week. He examined the dialysis machines, surgical equipment, and patient facilities, directing staff to make immediate improvements wherever necessary.
“Our aim is to make healthcare accessible to everyone. Treatment here will be cheaper than in government hospitals,” Khan Sir reportedly said during his visit.
The hospital, equipped with modern amenities such as a blood bank, dialysis unit, and cancer treatment facilities, aims to redefine affordable medical care in Bihar.
A redesigned operation theatre for better hygiene
Interestingly, the operation theatre underwent complete reconstruction after Khan Sir identified flaws in its initial design. The first version used glossy tiles, which he later deemed unsafe for surgical environments due to bacterial growth between the tile joints.
Recalling the decision in one of his classes, Khan Sir explained, “When two tiles join, their fine gap becomes a home for bacteria, viruses, and fungus. Even a mustard seed could hold thousands of them.”
To ensure hygiene, the hospital replaced tiles with special medical-grade anti-infection mats that resemble marble but are safer for surgical use.
Dialysis unit ready, inauguration expected soon
The hospital’s dialysis centre is now fully functional, featuring advanced machinery and infection control measures. Khan Sir personally tested the equipment under the supervision of medical professionals.
Sources close to the project suggest that the hospital’s inauguration could take place soon, though the exact location remains undisclosed. What is clear, however, is that this facility represents more than just a new medical centre — it embodies Khan Sir’s long-standing mission to make quality healthcare accessible to all, especially the poor.
