Katihar: Addressing a packed rally in Katihar on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress of hiding their political past and failing Bihar’s youth. “Look at the RJD-Congress posters,” he said. “The pictures of their old leaders are missing. They are ashamed to even mention their father’s name. What sin are they trying to hide from Bihar’s youth?”
Modi claimed that the alliance was struggling to stay united. “Even Congress leaders don’t believe the promises RJD leaders are making,” he said, adding that a “fierce feud” was brewing between the two parties.
The Prime Minister accused the Congress of deliberately insulting Bihar to provoke public anger against its ally. “The Kerala Congress compared Bihar to a beedi. In Haryana, leaders who abuse Biharis were invited to campaign. The Congress wants RJD to lose so that it can capture its vote bank,” he said.
Modi also targeted the opposition over its record on governance and development. “For a developed India, Bihar must develop. The RJD and Congress can never make Bihar developed,” he declared.
“These people ruled Bihar for years but only betrayed its people. Where there is RJD and Congress, there is corruption, violence, and cruelty. Where they rule, there is no social justice or harmony,” Modi said, urging voters to support the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to ensure peace and progress.
