Madhubani: Addressing a packed rally in Khutauna, Madhubani, on Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah warned voters against what he called a possible return of “Jungle Raj” if the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) came to power in Bihar. “Do you want the irrigation and education departments, or the ransom department?” he asked the crowd. “If the RJD forms the government, ministries for kidnapping, loot, and murder will be created. Don’t let the Jungle Raj people return.”
Shah, one of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) most prominent campaigners in the Bihar Assembly elections, held three rallies across Sitamarhi and Madhubani districts on Monday. Earlier in Sitamarhi, he told supporters that the outcome of the elections was already decided. “By 1 p.m. on November 14, Lalu-Rahul’s party will be wiped out,” Shah declared. “The NDA will form the government in Bihar with a landslide majority. The ‘Maha Thugbandhan’ has neither a leader nor a policy. They don’t even know who is contesting which seat.”
Shah also sought to highlight the NDA government’s welfare initiatives for women, claiming that the alliance had provided Rs 10,000 for women’s employment and would expand that support in the future. “The RJD MP is feeling hurt and asking why we are distributing money,” he said. “No one has the power to stop the money being given to women. This won’t stop here — we’ll give Rs 2 lakh in the future.”
During his campaign tour, Shah addressed rallies at Belsand and Riga in Sitamarhi before heading to Khutauna in Madhubani. His speeches, marked by sharp attacks on the RJD-Congress alliance, focused on contrasting the NDA’s record of governance with what he described as the RJD’s legacy of “lawlessness and fear.”
“The people of Bihar have experienced Jungle Raj once,” Shah said. “They will never allow it to return.”
