Patna: As the countdown begins for the first phase of voting in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, campaigning will officially end at 5 p.m. today, November 4. With only a few hours left before the silence period begins, political parties are making their final push to reach voters across key constituencies.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is leading the Bharatiya Janata Party’s final day of campaigning with three major public meetings scheduled across Bihar on Tuesday. Shah’s rallies are being held to seek votes for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates in 29 assembly constituencies spread across Darbhanga, East Champaran, and West Champaran districts.
Shah’s First Rally in Darbhanga’s Jale Constituency
Amit Shah began his campaign day with a rally in the Jale Assembly constituency of Darbhanga district. The event, held at Kazi Ahmed Inter College Ground at 11 a.m., saw an elaborate setup with around 20,000 chairs arranged for the public.
Local BJP and JD(U) leaders said the rally witnessed a massive turnout. The venue was decorated with banners, party flags, and a large stage, reflecting the NDA’s high-pitched effort to energize voters ahead of polling day. Shah appealed to voters to strengthen the NDA by electing its candidates from the region.
Second Rally in East Champaran’s Pipra Constituency
At 1 p.m., Shah addressed his second rally at Chakia in East Champaran’s Pipra Assembly constituency. Arrangements for about 30,000 people were made at the venue. Shah sought support for NDA candidates contesting across 12 constituencies in East Champaran, including Raxaul, Sugauli, Kesaria, Kalyanpur, Madhuban, Dhaka, Chiraiya, Motihari, and Harsiddhi.
Final Rally in West Champaran’s Mainatad
The Union Home Minister’s final rally for the day was scheduled at 2:30 p.m. at the Mainatad High School sports stadium ground in West Champaran. He sought votes for NDA candidates in nine constituencies—Valmikinagar, Bettiah, Ramnagar, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Lauriya, Nautan, Chanpatia, and Sikta.
First Phase Voting on November 6
The first phase of polling will take place on November 6 across 94 assembly constituencies. Campaigning for these constituencies—including Madhepura, Saharsa, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Chapra, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Munger, Patna, Ara, and Buxar—will cease this evening.
With Amit Shah’s back-to-back rallies marking the final day of campaigning, the political atmosphere across Bihar’s northern and central districts has intensified, setting the stage for a closely watched first phase of polling.
