Railways Extends Patna-Thawe Special Train Service to Meet Passenger Demand

Patna: The Indian Railways has announced the extension of the duration of the Patna-Thawe daily special train, numbered 03215/03216, by an additional 92 trips until July 31, 2024, in response to the surge in passenger numbers.

This special train service stands as the sole link between Thawe and the capital city, Patna, providing essential connectivity for commuters from Chhapra and Gopalganj. Departing from Thawe in Gopalganj, the train traverses through Gopalganj, Sidhwalia, Rajpatti, Mashrak, and Madhaura before joining the main line at Chhapra Rural station. Its operation notably enhances accessibility for residents in the northern region of Saran district, serving as the district’s sole connection to the capital.

The train’s schedule sees it departing from Thawe at 6:25 am, reaching Patna Junction station at 11:45 am. Conversely, it departs from Patna Junction at 12:10 pm, arriving at Thawe at 5:35 pm. The train comprises 24 coaches, including 2 Class II and 22 Ordinary Second Class coaches, maintaining consistency in its route, stoppages, and timings.
