Patna: The Bihar government on Tuesday allotted official bungalows in Patna to newly appointed ministers, days after the formation of the new cabinet and the distribution of portfolios. The allotments were issued by the Building Construction Department.
Earlier in the evening, the department served a notice to former chief minister Rabri Devi asking her to vacate her official residence at 10, Circular Road. The government has now allotted her and her family a new official bungalow at 39 Harding Park.
According to the government order, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, senior ministers, and members of the newly formed cabinet have been assigned residences across Deshratna Marg, Circular Road, Strand Road, Taylor Road, Polo Road and Nehru Path.

Officials said the reallocation process is part of the routine administrative exercise that follows the formation of a new government and ensures that ministers receive residences near the state secretariat for ease of functioning.
