Patna: Cyclonic storm Remal is set to cross Bangladesh and West Bengal on Sunday night, bringing its partial impact to the eastern and east central parts of Bihar on the same day. The region can expect rain, thunder, and strong winds in some areas, according to the Patna Meteorological Center.
The weather conditions in Bihar have already been challenging, with intense sunlight and low wind speeds causing a significant rise in temperatures.
The monsoon is anticipated to arrive in Bihar by the second week of June. Scientist S.K. Patel from the Patna Meteorological Center indicated that following the departure of storm Remal, south-westerly winds will reduce moisture in the air, likely causing an increase in maximum temperatures.
The weather forecast until May 29 indicates that on Sunday, a hot day is expected in one or two places in the southwest and south-central parts of the state, including Patna. The eastern and north-eastern districts may experience thunder, light rain, and storms with wind speeds of 30-40 km per hour.
