Patna: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Hindustani Awam Morcha- Secular (HAM-S) and Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) have filed separate election petitions in the Patna High Court challenging the results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
In Narpatganj, RJD candidate Manish Yadav has questioned the victory of BJP MLA Devyanti Yadav. A single-judge bench of Justice Shashi Bhushan Prasad Singh has issued a notice to the newly elected MLA, seeking her response.
A similar challenge has been filed from Madhubani, where RLJP candidate Ganesh Kumar Mahran has contested the election of Madhav Anand of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM). Justice Ashok Kumar Pandey has issued a notice to the RLM legislator.
In Mohiuddin Nagar, RJD’s Dr Ejya Yadav has approached the court disputing the election of BJP MLA Rajesh Kumar Singh. Meanwhile, in the Tekari constituency, HAM candidate Dr Anil Kumar has filed a petition against the victory of RJD MLA Ajay Kumar.
All petitions have been filed through advocate Avnish Kumar. The court has sought responses from the winning candidates, marking the beginning of what could be a prolonged legal battle over the assembly results.
