Patna: Flight disruptions at Patna’s Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport continued into Saturday, with IndiGo Airlines cancelling four additional flights, a day after ten pairs of its services were scrapped.
The latest cancellations include flights 6E 6451 and 6E 6452 operating on the Patna–Bengaluru route, as well as 6E 915 and 6E 6683 on the Hyderabad–Patna and Patna–Hyderabad sectors. Services on the New Delhi–Patna route, flights 6E 6549 and 6E 6550, were also cancelled, along with flight pair 6E 678/679 connecting Chennai and Patna.
Airport officials said the cancellations were the result of operational challenges faced by airlines and added that airport management was in constant coordination with carriers to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
The continued disruption has caused inconvenience to passengers, many of whom were affected by widespread cancellations on Friday as well. Authorities have advised travellers to check the latest flight status before leaving for the airport and to arrive well in advance to avoid further inconvenience.
