Rajgir: The 77th Republic Day was observed with enthusiasm and solemnity at Rajgir Zoo Safari, where the national flag was unfurled by Ramsundar M, director of the facility.
The ceremony was followed by a spirited parade led by Niranjan, with forest personnel marching in formation to mark the occasion. Officials said the parade reflected the discipline and commitment of staff involved in wildlife protection and management.

As part of the celebrations, the director also felicitated the best-performing staff members, acknowledging their dedication and consistent efforts in animal care, conservation and day-to-day management of the safari.

Emphasising environmental responsibility, a plantation drive was organised across the safari premises, with staff members planting saplings to mark the national occasion. Officials said the initiative was aimed at reinforcing the institution’s commitment to conservation and to promoting a greener and more sustainable environment.

The Republic Day programme concluded with a renewed pledge by staff to uphold constitutional values while continuing their work towards wildlife conservation and ecological balance.
