Patna: Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), under Patna University, celebrated India’s 77th Republic Day with a display of patriotism and solemn pride. The event began with a disciplined march past by the students of the college hostel, reflecting unity and national spirit.
The national tricolour was unfurled by the college’s Principal, Dr Sister M. Rashmi A.C., alongside Dr Sister Reema A.C., Provincial Superior of Apostolic Carmel, Northern Province, and former Principal of Patna Women’s College. The ceremony was accompanied by a stirring patriotic song that resonated across the campus, evoking a deep sense of pride among students and staff alike.

In her address, Dr Sister M. Rashmi A.C. paid tribute to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters, emphasising the ongoing responsibility of citizens to uphold the nation’s values. The celebration culminated with participants waving hand-held tricolours and chanting “Jai Ho!”, symbolising unity, freedom, and the enduring spirit of India.
