Patna: Bihar has stepped into the national spotlight with an ambitious display of artificial intelligence initiatives at the India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam. The state’s pavilion attracted policymakers, industry leaders and international delegates with demonstrations spanning governance, agriculture, healthcare and education.
On the concluding day, Union minister for electronics and information technology Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the pavilion and praised Bihar’s AI-enabled electoral innovations. Officials showcased secure e-voting systems and citizen-focused mobile applications aimed at improving transparency and strengthening democratic processes.
Technology leaders, including representatives from Tiger Analytics, which recently signed an MoU with the Bihar government, highlighted AI’s growing role in “smart farming”, disease detection and personalised learning. Tools on display included crop-monitoring platforms, AI-assisted diagnostic systems and training programmes for engineering students.
A multilingual robot and automated sanitation systems added to the exhibition’s appeal. Officials said the initiatives reflect Bihar’s effort to harness AI not only for economic growth but also for modernising public services and governance.
