Bihar Police Crack Tanishq Showroom Robbery Case in Purnia

Purnia: Bihar Police have successfully exposed the robbery at the Tanishq showroom in Purnia, arresting four criminals and recovering significant evidence. The operation led to the seizure of two illegal firearms, three cartridges, burnt remains of a mobile phone used in the incident, and four additional mobile phones. With the assistance of the Malda Police in West Bengal, three motorcycles involved in the crime were also recovered.
The mastermind behind the robbery was identified as Subodh Singh, a notorious criminal currently incarcerated at Beur Jail. He, along with his associates, including local criminal Bittu Singh, orchestrated the heist. The plan was hatched within the confines of Beur Jail, leveraging connections with other inmates.
Key to unraveling the conspiracy was Rahul Kumar, who operates a clinic in Line Bazar, Purnia. Under police surveillance and questioning, he revealed that the robbery was planned with both local and external criminals at various hideouts in Prabhat Colony and the Housing Board. The criminals from outside the area were accommodated in a lodge in Shivpuri, Araria, and a meeting was held there to finalize the details of the robbery.
During the raid, additional accomplices were identified, including Chunmun Jha, who disguised himself with a mask, and his brother Anand Jha. The police also recovered the burnt remains of a mobile phone belonging to Chunmun Jha, used in the incident. Other associates like Abhimanyu Singh and Bambam Yadav were also implicated in the crime.
The arrested criminals have been identified as Rahul Srivastava from Begusarai, Abhimanyu Singh from Purnia, Anand Jha from Araria, and Bambam Yadav from Purnia. The case, which involved meticulous planning and collaboration across districts, highlights the effectiveness of the Bihar Police in tackling organized crime.
