Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation has launched a large-scale cleanliness drive across the city following Holika Dahan, as authorities move swiftly to clear festival debris from public spaces.
Additional teams of sanitation workers have been deployed across several wards to remove ashes, partially burnt wood and other waste left behind after the ritual bonfires. Roads, intersections and busy public areas are being prioritised to ensure traffic flow is restored and pedestrians can move safely.
Civic officials said adequate vehicles, equipment and manpower have been arranged to support the operation. Senior officers have been instructed to maintain close monitoring and coordination on the ground to prevent any delays in the clean-up process.
The municipal body said the initiative is part of its broader effort to maintain hygiene standards during major festivals, when public waste often rises sharply. Authorities added that maintaining clean surroundings is essential not only for convenience but also for public health.
