Patna: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released its proposed admission schedule for the 2026–27 academic session, with online registration for Balvatika-1, Balvatika-3 and Class 1 set to begin on March 20.
According to the schedule, applications will open at 10am and remain available until April 2. The announcement follows the release of an official advertisement in the third week of March, with details also shared via KVS’s official social media channels.
The first provisional admission lists for Balvatika-1, 2 and 3 will be published on April 8, followed by the Class 1 list on April 9. In case of vacant seats, a second list will be released on April 16 and a third on April 21.
Admissions will be carried out in phases, with priority given to children selected under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, followed by candidates in service priority categories and then those under reserved quotas.
KVS has also made provisions for offline registration in case of insufficient online applications. For RTE, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and OBC (NCL) categories, offline applications will be accepted between April 22 and April 26, with admissions taking place from April 27 to April 30.
For other classes, including Balvatika-2 and Class 2 (excluding Class 11), admissions will be conducted offline from April 2 to April 8, depending on seat availability. The corresponding lists will be released on April 13, with admissions scheduled between April 15 and April 20.
The deadline for completing admissions across all classes, except Class 11, is June 30. In cases where seats remain vacant, admissions may continue until July 31 with special approval.
Admissions to Class 11 will follow a separate timeline, beginning within 10 days of the CBSE Class 10 results. Lists for existing KV students will be released within 20 days, with admissions for other applicants based on remaining vacancies.
KVS said all admission lists will be displayed on school notice boards, official websites and social media platforms to ensure transparency and accessibility for applicants.
