On the notice issued to Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan by the Bihar State Women Commission over an alleged controversial statement, Jha said he currently has no information on the matter.

  • 🚛⚖️ Big step towards safer roads in Bihar!
The Patna High Court has backed a powerful AI-based “Weigh-In-Motion” system to crack down on overloaded vehicles across the state. This smart technology can measure the weight of trucks while they’re moving—no stopping required—and instantly issue e-challans to violators 📲
Overloading has long been a major reason behind damaged roads and weakened bridges in Bihar. With sensors, CCTV cameras, and automatic number plate recognition working together, this system ensures strict monitoring and faster action 🚧
Currently running on a pilot basis at select locations, the project could soon expand statewide if successful. Authorities have also warned that failure to pay fines may lead to restrictions on vehicle operations and licence renewals.
A smarter system for safer roads and stronger infrastructure 💡
