Patna: The Bihar government has launched a dedicated online portal aimed at promoting the film industry in the state and creating opportunities for local artists, technicians and service providers.
The initiative, led by the Department of Art and Culture in collaboration with the Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Ltd., seeks to build a comprehensive ecosystem to support film production activities in Bihar.
Platform For Talent And Services
Officials said the portal allows a wide range of professionals—including actors, dancers, singers and other artists—to register and showcase their work.
Technical professionals such as camera operators, sound engineers, editors, drone operators and VFX specialists can also enrol, along with creative experts in art direction, costume design, set design and makeup.
Boost For Local Businesses
The platform extends beyond individuals to include businesses offering logistical support such as hotels, transport services, catering and shooting locations.
Professionals involved in promotion and media—such as digital marketers, photographers and social media managers—as well as those engaged in security, event management and coordination services, are also eligible to register.
Direct Access To Film Projects
Officials said the portal is designed to connect local talent and service providers directly with film production houses operating in Bihar.
This is expected to generate employment opportunities and help local businesses expand their client base as filming activity increases in the state.
Free Registration
The government has made registration on the platform free of cost, with applicants able to sign up through the official website.
Authorities said the initiative marks a step towards positioning Bihar as a viable destination for film production while supporting the growth of its creative economy.
