Patna: The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has deployed senior officials across 24 districts to accelerate Bihar’s Special Land Survey programme, in a renewed push to speed up pending work and improve service delivery.
Shortly after assuming charge on Wednesday, department secretary Jay Singh directed the deployment of officials and asked for urgent measures to bring greater transparency, timeliness and accountability to land-related administration. He said the department’s work directly affects the public and must therefore be handled with “sensitivity and efficiency”.
Singh also instructed officials to prioritise the disposal of long-pending cases and simplify revenue services to make them more accessible for citizens across the state.
According to additional secretary Ajeev Vatsaraj, the designated officers will visit their assigned districts every Saturday to monitor progress and support implementation of the survey programme on the ground.
