Patna: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has approved land allotment for 23 new projects, including 16 industrial units and seven hotel proposals, in a move expected to attract nearly Rs 992.63 crore in investment and generate around 3,146 employment opportunities across the state.
The approvals were granted during a meeting of BIADA’s Project Clearance Committee (PCC), chaired by Kundan Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department and Managing Director of BIADA and the Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA).
According to officials, a total of 31.78 acres of land has been allotted for the projects, which span manufacturing, food processing, hospitality and other industrial sectors.
Government Highlights Employment Potential
Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said the steady approval of new projects was accelerating Bihar’s industrial and economic growth while creating employment opportunities for local youth.
She said the state government remained committed to building an investor-friendly ecosystem and positioning Bihar as a modern destination for industry and manufacturing.
“The approval of these projects will generate large-scale employment and skill-based opportunities for young people in Bihar. The government is focused on creating a conducive environment for investment and industrial expansion,” Singh said.
Diverse Range Of Industrial Investments
The approved projects cover a broad range of sectors, including food processing, rice milling, pre-engineered building (PEB) structures, steel roofing sheet manufacturing, garments, cotton wick and agarbatti production, corrugated paper manufacturing and general industrial activities.
Officials said the investments would help strengthen Bihar’s industrial base and stimulate economic activity at the local level.
The proposed units will be established across several industrial areas, including Fatuha, Baijnathpur, Goraul, Samastipur, Donar, Barari, Maranga, Muzaffarpur, Patliputra and Hajipur.
Major Companies Receive Approval
Among the prominent projects approved by the committee are units proposed by Amul Dairy, Shiv Durga Agro, Moogy Foods Pvt Ltd, MSQ Clothing LLP, Banka Industries, Honesty Automation Pvt Ltd, Shree Jee Roofing, Siya Ram Food Industries, Jyoti Printing Works, Rajrani Textile, OM Mangalam and Liefde Bakers Pvt Ltd.
The committee also approved hotel projects proposed by Civmil Industries Pvt Ltd, MCS India Ltd and Maa Mundeshwari Agro Mill Pvt Ltd, among others.
Focus On Transparent Land Allocation
Kundan Kumar said the government was committed to ensuring balanced and inclusive industrial development across Bihar.
He said BIADA was allotting industrial land through a transparent and time-bound process while simultaneously improving infrastructure and investor services.
“Robust infrastructure, better connectivity, streamlined procedures and policy support are being provided to create a favourable environment for investors and facilitate the timely implementation of projects,” he said.
Officials said the projects are expected not only to boost industrial output but also to create significant opportunities for direct and indirect employment, entrepreneurship and local economic development across Bihar.
