Patna: The state cabinet in its meeting presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday approved 35 crucial agendas from different departments of the state government.
In a move to bolster public safety in rural areas, emergency services are set to make their debut in remote villages. By dialing the number 112, residents will have swift access to police, ambulance, and fire incident services through an integrated system. This progressive initiative comes with an allocation of Rs 766 crore 31 lakh from the state government.
A staggering sum of Rs 2,190 crore has been earmarked to ensure access to water for every field, further fortifying the state’s commitment to agriculture. Notably, the cabinet has given its nod to the second phase of the CM Krishi Vidyut Sambandhan Yojana, paving the way for free electricity connections to be extended to farmers.
In a bid to promote sports activities in Patna, the cabinet approved a proposal from energy department to construct an indoor stadium in the residential complex area of Bihar State Power Holding Company at Punaichak in the state capital utilising funds to the tune of Rs41.1crore.
Additionally, Bihar’s driver recruitment landscape is undergoing a transformation as the Technical Selection Commission prepares to reintroduce drivers across various departments in the state. The Bihar Driver Recruitment and Service Conditions Amendment Rules 2023 have received the green light, heralding a significant change in the driver recruitment process.
